| This new breed of cat takes its name from New York state, where it was first developed, and the beautiful rich dark chocolate colour of its fur. It comes in a variety of shades of chocolate, and several patterns, like this van pattern seen here. There is some confusion as to the genetic background of this cat, and is therefore not yet recognized by any of the major associations.
